Specific individual instructions will be given to you before you come to the center. Do not eat or drink anything after midnight on the night prior to your procedure unless you are instructed otherwise.
Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to take off and put on. You may wear a short sleeve t-shirt and socks which can be left on during the procedure. Leave all jewelry and valuables at home.
Since we are a separate facility from your doctor’s office, you must bring the following to your appointment:
- A list of current medications.
- Your insurance card(s).
- A photo ID. If you don’t have one, you may bring two alternate forms of identification.
- Please arrange to have a responsible person accompany you home after your endoscopy procedure. The medications you will receive have sedative effects that slow your reflexes, so it is unsafe to drive for 24 hours. Your driver must remain at the center during your procedure.
- Since we are an outpatient facility, for the safety of our patients we cannot accept patients who have a pacemaker, Cardiac Defibrillator (ICD) or are on dialysis. If you have any other implanted devise, such as an insulin pump, please notify us prior to your procedure.
